Projects Supported

Each year, the Kinsmen members contribute volunteer hours, as well as funds that we raise through our events to various projects in Walkerton and surrounding communities, in fulfillment of the Kin motto: serving the community's greatest needs.

Some recent contributions (volunteer time and/or financial) include:

Walkerton Kinsmen Tot Lot Park ($10,000 towards park upgrades and maintenance)
Walkerton & District Hospital Foundation "Buy-a-Bone" Campaign ($5,000 for new X-Ray suite at the Walkerton Hospital)
Walkerton Lawn Bowling Club (support repairs and upgrades at the grounds)
WDCS Student Bursaries
Free Public Skates at the Walkerton Arena
Midwestern Ontario Rotary Music Festival
Mildmay Moose Broomball Team (funds to support participation in national championships)
Sistema Walkerton (free music program for youth in Walkerton)
Fundraiser BBQ's and Bar (Dirt Pigs Tournament, Play Music on the Porch Day)

Good Food Box (food security program providing fresh produce)
